  • Create and optimize robot motion paths, tool configurations, and sequences to achieve required cycle times and operational efficiency.
  • Perform offline robot programming and simulations, including reach studies, collision detection, and cycle-time validation.
  • Configure, test, and validate robot safety functions, including safety zones, interlocks, and robot-specific safety systems.
  • Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, and peripheral automation equipment to ensure coordinated system operation.
  • Support robotic system commissioning, debugging, and performance optimization during machine build, FAT, installation, and SAT.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to resolve integration challenges and improve system performance.

Project Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work with project managers, engineering teams, and customers to understand project requirements, timelines, and technical specifications.
  • Identify programming and integration risks, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain programming documentation, project quality checklists, and FAT/SAT records in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of direct experience programming, integrating, and commissioning industrial robots, including FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa / Motoman, or equivalent platforms in an automation or manufacturing environment.
