The Operations Supervisor 4 at McKesson Canada Corporation / La Corporation McKesson Canada is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operational activities within a specific department or shift. This role focuses on ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high service levels, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence and meet organizational goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise a team of operations staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
* Plan, organize, and direct daily operational activities to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
* Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to higher management when necessary.
* Collaborate with other departments to optimize cross-functional processes and achieve overall business objectives.
* Conduct regular team meetings, providing clear communication, feedback, and motivation.
* Prepare and present operational reports to management, outlining performance, challenges, and recommendations.
* Manage resource allocation, including staffing levels, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance operational effectiveness.

Critical Requirements

* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
* Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain principles, and logistics.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
* Proficiency in using operational management software and tools (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
* Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset, especially for roles within Quebec or with national scope.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
