Power Staffing SolutionsBritish Columbia, Canada, CanadaBusiness Systems Analyst (Mining Industry)Position Overview : We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Business Systems Analyst to join our team in the mining industry. This role requires an individual who can bridge the gap between technology and business needs, ensuring seamless integration of systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with SAP / S4HANA, and a deep understanding of procurement and supply chain processes within the mining sector. This is a hybrid role that will allow you to work remotely with occasional in-person collaboration at the Toronto office (for GTA candidates) or travel to Princeton (for BC-based candidates).Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with business partners in the mining industry to understand requirements and provide solutions that support their needs.Work with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain business systems, primarily SAP / S4HANA, related to P2P (Procure-to-Pay), Supply Chain, and Procurement.Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for business systems, with a focus on mining-specific business requirements.Assist with system configurations, testing, and end-user training.Document business requirements, system changes, and processes related to the mining industry.Liaise with external vendors, including those providing P2P cloud platforms like Ariba or COUPA, to ensure alignment with business objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying system or process gaps and recommending solutions.Participate in the development and execution of test plans, system upgrades, and user acceptance testing.Support business users with post-implementation queries and issues.Skills and Qualifications : 3-7 years of experience in business systems analysis or a similar role, ideally with exposure to SAP / S4HANA in a mining or industrial environment.Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supply Chain, and Procurement processes, with a focus on the mining industry.Experience with P2P cloud platforms like Ariba or COUPA is a plus.Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical solutions to business stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with various business units.Previous experience working with partners and vendors to provide support and solutions to business problems in the mining industry.Strong documentation and analytical skills.Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote work environment.Willingness to travel occasionally to the Princeton site (BC-based candidates) or the Toronto office (GTA-based candidates).Personality & Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders, especially in the mining sector.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex concepts to business users.A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently as well.If you're looking to contribute your expertise in the mining industry and be part of a dynamic team, this is an excellent opportunity for growth and impact.
