About the Role :
Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for a Research Assistant at the EPID@Work Research Institute. The EPID@Work Research Institute is seeking a Research Assistant who will support the Project Lead by carrying out a variety of research activities, such as data collection, data coding, analysis, writing and knowledge mobilization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conducting semi-structure interviews and assisting the team-lead in conducting interviews with workers across different male-dominated industries in Thunder Bay and surroundings.
- Supporting data collection and ensuring ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Assisting in the analysis of qualitative data using NVIVO software.
- Contributing to the interpretation of findings and assisting with writing research reports.
- Collaborating with the research team to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables.
- Managing and ensuring compliance with Research Ethics Board (REB) protocols throughout the project.

The EPID@Work Research Institute was established in 2018 to conduct high quality, transdisciplinary research in the areas of work-related injury and disability prevention with a particular focus on issues relevant to Northwestern Ontario.
