Job Summary
Come work as a Clinical Simulation Technician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Clinical Simulation Technician to join the team in Vancouver, BC.
As a Clinical Simulation Technician you will :
- Be responsible for a wide variety of simulation education, training, and staff development at VCH simulation centres and hospital sites.
- Provide technical, operational, troubleshooting, training, and maintenance support for the computers, audio / visual (A / V) technologies, high-fidelity patient simulator manikins, (which henceforth will be referred to as manikins), task trainers, and simulation-relevant medical equipment at VCH simulation centres.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of current simulation technologies and applications, they provide orientation to educators and other staff in the operation of simulators and other A / V equipment in the simulation centres.
- Apply and implements best practices in simulation in alignment with current models of patient care, such as the training and orientation to staff and clinicians in the appropriate use of equipment in simulation practice at both VCH hospital sites and simulation centres.
