About the Role

Forge Consulting Group is proud to partner with a well-established manufacturing company in the search for a Senior Controller to lead their finance operations. This high-impact leadership role offers the opportunity to drive financial strategy, strengthen compliance, and influence key business decisions in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with proven expertise in manufacturing and cost accounting , who is ready to take ownership and become a trusted advisor at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting functions including financial reporting, budgeting, AP / AR, payroll, and internal controls
  • Develop and oversee cost accounting systems and inventory valuation to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage and improve cash flow forecasting, working capital, and financial planning models
  • Lead compliance with all relevant tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with plant managers and department leads to align financials with business goals
  • Present financial results and insights to senior leadership; support strategic planning initiatives
  • Mentor and manage a small finance / accounting team, fostering growth and accountability
  • Lead and support ERP and process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA designation required (CA, CMA, or CGA)
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience
  • At least 3–5 years in a Senior Controller or Finance Leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant operations
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and strong Excel / data analysis skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in mid-sized or privately owned manufacturing companies is a plus
