Description de posteTo be able to have an overview of the projects, to understand globally the plans, scope and sequence of work. To be highly organized, capable of planning according to priorities. Being able to maintain a high level of concentration over long periods, in the context of work requiring precision and analysis. Having the skills to create and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate great care and submit a final work of superior quality, with a minimal level of error. Working effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and show a solid understanding of business issues. To be autonomous, resourceful and creative in problem-solving and daily management. Possessing a well-developed business sense and a strategic vision of the estimator's role in the company's success. Minimum of 7 years as an estimator in the construction industry. Bachelor's degree (building engineering, construction engineering, civil engineering) Experience with PDF survey software is required. Reading plans and estimates Three offices across the province : Verdun, Laval and Bromont. You can choose a work location close to your home. What YOU will do :
- Participate in the strategic planning of projects to be tendered , in collaboration with the general manager, according to the development targets and operational capacity of the company.
- Supervise and structure the preparation of submissions : gather, organize and validate all necessary documentation (plans, quotes, addenda, administrative requirements), in particular via SEAO or directly with clients.
- Conduct a thorough and critical review of the plans and specifications , identifying technical challenges, opportunities for added value, and potential risks. Develop estimation strategies aligned with the specific characteristics of the project.
- Carry out a detailed analysis of quantities and costs , evaluating execution options and recommending the optimal allocation between internal work and subcontracting.
- Select, qualify and engage subcontractors according to the nature of the projects. Prepare invitation documents, analyze proposals received and collaborate with the project management team for the final selection of partners.
- Maintain and develop a strong network of subcontractors and suppliers , based on trust, transparency and performance.
- Actively contribute to the closure strategy by presenting the general manager with an in-depth analysis of the issues, room for maneuver and levers for differentiation.
- Ensure the quality, rigor and conformity of all submissions filed, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal standards.
