Job Title : Sybase Administrator
Location : Regina SK
About Role
The Sybase Administrators will provide Sybase database support services including configuring and responding to system and performance alerts 24x7, routine maintenance such as patching, and actioning database related service requests across production and non-production environments.
The Sybase Administrators will collaborate with CLIENT’s Database Platform Administrators, System Administrators, and Application Support teams as required to maintain system availability targets.
Environment details :
Software in scope includes Sybase ASE 16 SP4, Replication server 16 SP3 and SAP IQ 16.1 on a mix of Oracle Solaris SPARC and Linux servers.
Systems reside in two data centers for high availability and disaster recovery scenarios
Software and systems in use are current and under support.
Database servers are managed using a mixture of ISQL, AQT, and DBArtisan tools
A mix of Database level and Table level replication is in place to provide High Availability and failover capability for DR scenarios.
Production instances support critical business applications. Response to production affecting incidents, 24x7, is required.
