Description de poste

Are you an ambitious sales professional looking to build a rewarding career with an industry leader in industrial metals product distribution? We are seeking a motivated, results-driven B2B Inside Sales Representative – B2B Account Representative to join a dynamic, growing team in Richmond, British Columbia. As an Inside Sales Representative – B2B Account Representative, you will play a central role in managing key customer relationships, expanding account market share, and driving revenue growth within the vibrant industrial manufacturing and fabrication sectors. Working within our client’s specialized sales division, you will join a supportive, high-performing environment that offers tremendous long-term growth, comprehensive training, and competitive earning potential.

In this high-impact sales role, you will be responsible for managing an established book of approximately 120 assigned accounts consisting of manufacturers, fabricators, and commercial clients. Unlike traditional cold-calling positions, this position focuses heavily on warm calling, managing existing client relationships, processing inquiries, and identifying win-back opportunities with past customers. The fast-paced nature of the metals and industrial market requires an Inside Sales Representative – B2B Account Representative who thrives on speed, clear communication, and dynamic market pricing. You will act much like a commodity specialist, evaluating supply and demand dynamics to build rapid, precise quotations and capture lucrative business opportunities across Western Canada.

Organization, speed, and proactive communication are critical to success in this position. As an Inside Sales Representative – B2B Account Representative, you will manage a active inbox and coordinate continuous follow-ups to ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks. Whether you are providing quotes within minutes, collaborating with outside sales representatives, or offering technical product support, your dedication to exceptional customer service will build long-term client loyalty. Candidates with a strong sales flare, mathematical aptitude, and background in industrial distribution—such as fasteners, electrical supplies, HVAC, building products, or metals—will excel in this role.

Advantages
• Competitive base salary ranging from $50,000 to $74,000 annually, complemented by lucrative quarterly sales bonuses with total earning potential (OTE) reaching $115,000+.
• Hybrid work arrangement offering 4 days on-site in Richmond, BC, and 1 flexible work-from-home day per week.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and medical benefit coverage (80% coverage) accessible after 3 months of employment.
• Generous company-matched pension plan after 1 year of service (2% automatic employer contribution plus 50% match up to 6%).
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providing free, confidential access to mental health counseling, financial advisory, and wellness services.
• Tuition reimbursement program and a clear commitment to internal promotion and long-term career progression.
• Full corporate onboarding and structured technical training, including job shadowing and attendance at North American sales training academies.

Responsibilities
• Manage and nurture a dedicated portfolio of approximately 120 key B2B client accounts, conducting proactive warm calls, managing account health, and driving repeat orders.
• Respond promptly to customer phone and email inquiries, serving as the primary point of contact for product specifications, stock availability, pricing, and order status.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on high-volume product quotations with exceptional speed and accuracy, targeting turnarounds within 10 minutes.
• Monitor dynamic market supply and demand trends to adjust margin pricing appropriately and maximize order profitability.
• Execute complete order lifecycle management, from initial inquiry and ERP order entry through delivery verification and post-sale account follow-up.
• Partner closely with outside sales representatives and regional operations teams to execute strategic account plans and expand customer spend.
• Maintain organized calendar schedules and inbox systems to manage sales priorities, follow up on outstanding quotes within 10 days, and meet tight customer deadlines.
• Participate actively in continuous professional development, including formal corporate sales academies, ERP/CRM training, and product knowledge sessions.

Qualifications
Skills
• Proven sales acumen with strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills tailored for B2B commercial accounts.
• Superior organizational and time-management capabilities, with demonstrated expertise in managing active email inboxes and complex calendars.
• Solid numerical and mathematical aptitude required for calculating product dimensions, unit weights, pricing margins, and volume discounts.
• Technical curiosity and mechanical aptitude to learn industrial metal grades, processing specifications, and manufacturing applications.
• Professional, charismatic verbal and written communication skills with an engaging phone demeanor.
• Proficiency in modern sales technology, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), CRM systems (Salesforce), and enterprise software (SAP).

Requirements
• 3 to 5 years of successful experience in B2B sales, account management, inside sales, or customer service within an industrial or commercial setting.
• Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline) preferred.
• Prior industry experience in metals distribution, building materials, industrial fasteners, electrical supplies, HVAC, packaging, or heavy equipment is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated track record of prioritizing tasks, meeting strict response deadlines, and thriving in a high-speed sales environment.
• Ability to work on-site at the Richmond, BC facility with valid eligibility to work in Canada.
