Role DescriptionPhoenix Magnet Academy is seeking a full-time Science and Math Teacher. This is an on-site role located in Squamish, BC. The Science Math Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective math and science lessons, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback to students and parents. The Science Math Teacher will also be involved in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, the teacher will teach electives such as Coding, Technology and / or Computer Science, etc. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education, Math, Science, or a related field A valid BC teaching certification and some actual teaching experience A passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student success Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Expertise in Math and Science curriculum, teaching methodologies, and instructional techniques Experience with project-based learning, experiential learning, or other innovative educational practices is a plus An ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Willingness and ability to participate in outdoor experiential activities is desired : skiing, hiking, sailing, canoeing, camping, etc. Willingness to travel with students CompensationVery competitive salary based on experience and qualificationsBenefits packagePrivate dorm room, private bathroom, and three meals - Negotiable as part of compensation
