Description de posteStrong knowledge of OHSA and workers' compensation legislation (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities. Sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Effective time management to meet deadlines. Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to various job sites. Post-secondary diploma / certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Additional H&S training (WHMIS, JHSC Certification, Working at Heights, etc.) is considered an asset. Certifications in WHMIS, Working at Heights, and forklift operation are desirable (training available if necessary). Safety experience within a construction environment is an asset.

As a Safety Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in shaping this culture, empowering their team, and ensuring that every employee goes home safely at the end of the day. Responsibilities :
- Safety Administration : WSIB paperwork and other safety-related documentation.
- Site Inspections : Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Employee Compliance : Monitor adherence to the company’s health and safety program, fostering accountability and awareness.
- Training Coordination : Organize and book in-house safety training to keep the team informed and prepared.
- Documentation Management : Track employee training certifications and ensure onboarding safety documentation is complete and recorded accurately.
- Regulatory Updates : Stay ahead of regulatory changes and recommend proactive measures to keep the company compliant.
- Risk Management : Identify, evaluate, and mitigate hazards and risks across the organization.
- Team Support : Be a resource for employees and management on safety-related concerns and initiatives.
