Our client, an established Edmonton known for being at the forefront of educational design, are looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. This is a multidiscipline firm that pride themselves on their collaborative approach, and endeavor to be culturally aware and open to new ideas on every project they work on. In addition to a strong emphasis on educational design, other project types include healthcare, multi-family, institutional, First Nations and civic and community centres.
this is a hybrid work model, 3 days a week in office
Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the technical aspects of architectural projects from concept through completion.
Oversee the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Utilize Revit for design development, construction documentation, and project coordination.
Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance with design intent, and adherence to industry standards.
Implement and maintain quality control processes to monitor and verify the quality of work throughout all project phases.
Identify and address potential quality issues early in the project lifecycle to prevent costly errors and rework.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff and team members.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project outcomes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
Qualifications :
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program, with 8+ years in architectural design and project management.
Must have prior experience in institutional, recreational and commercial projects.
Proficiency in Revit is required.
You will have sound knowledge of local building codes, bylaws and construction practices.
You will possess strong time management and customer services skills, be organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $85K- $95K+ bonus (dependent on experience) + extended benefits, 3 weeks vacation and the week off over Christmas.
