Your new company
Committed to tackling the intricate energy and decarbonization issues confronting the world today. The team, comprised of pioneering engineers from diverse disciplines, plays a pivotal role in the success of multimillion-dollar projects. Recently, they’ve been actively involved in several significant initiatives across Toronto. These projects include institutional, clean room environments and educational.
Your new role
As a Project Manager, your key responsibilities include overseeing health and safety protocols on project sites, ensuring compliance with best practices. You’ll implement project management best practices in alignment with their culture and client needs. Managing procurement of professional services, equipment, and subcontractors is also part of your role. Collaborating with the Senior Project Director and Construction Engineers, you’ll negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors. Additionally, you’ll coordinate day-to-day activities on construction sites, monitor project risks, manage budgets, and facilitate effective communication with internal colleagues and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent field. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have over 8 years of experience in construction project management of industrial, institutional or commercial projects (hospitals, schools, pharmaceutical, etc). Familiarity with local permits and regulations, as well as an understanding of the business risks and financial implications associated with decisions, are essential. A knowledge of energy systems within the built environment (including boilers, chillers, and cogeneration plants) is advantageous. Finally, a valid driver’s license is required for this position.
What you'll get in return
The organization offers competitive annual base salaries, generous paid time off (including vacation days, personal days, and statutory holidays), flexible work arrangements, complete group insurance, telemedicine support, retirement savings contributions, cell phones for professional and personal use, comprehensive technical training, and a vibrant company culture. They prioritize health and safety, foster mentorship, and operate in a stable business environment as a mission-driven organization.
