Software Developer (.Net / React), Web Applications Brampton - Hybrid Survalent is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Full Stack Web Developer to join our Web Application Development team. This team is responsible for building secure, high-performance, and scalable web applications that help electric utilities monitor, control, and manage power flow, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of electricity. You’ll be part of a growing development team and responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to design to deployment. We’re looking for someone who’s confident working across both front-end and back-end technologies, familiar with modern frameworks, and passionate about creating intuitive, data-driven web solutions. • Work with development teams, customers, and other subject matter experts to ideate software solutions, and improve software functionality.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture.
• Ensure front-end code is mobile-friendly (i.e. responsive) and intuitive for users.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases.
• Write effective RESTful APIs.
• Test software to ensure responsiveness, scalability, and efficiency.
• Create security and data protection settings.
• Write technical documentation where necessary.
• Other duties as required What are we looking for?
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in computer programming.
• Experience in Frontend Development : Skilled with React, including both user interface design and business logic implementation.
• Experience in Backend Development : Proficient with ASP.NET Core Web API, incorporating real-time communication using SignalR / WebSockets and secure authentication through Identity.
• Experience in Database Development : Competent with SQL Server and / or PostgreSQL for robust data storage and querying.
• Experience in Data Processing : Capable of building complex, high-performance data processing plugins to support backend server operations.
• Experience with CURL, Postman, Swagger, Fiddler and similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design concepts.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing.
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution methods.
• Knowledge on back-end development, including RESTful interfaces and microservices.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence, or similar infrastructure tools.
• Proficiency or working knowledge of Ractive.js and legacy .NET frameworks is a strong asset.
• Experience with containerized application development, particularly using Docker, is a strong asset. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Team Lead of Web Applications.
