Prairie Bus Lines is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to join our team in Red Deer. Dispatchers are primarily responsible for scheduling drivers, providing tactful and professional telephone and radio assistance, and administrative duties. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 6 : 30 am to 2 : 30 pm. The Dispatcher would be alternating on-call every other weekend.
Qualifications :
- Excellent customer service skills, proven ability to serve the public and relate to coworkers in a courteous, helpful manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, intuitive and empathetic listening skills
- Strong telephone etiquette
- Very organized
- Strong computer skills and knowledgeable of Microsoft Programs
- Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and as a part of a team
- Clear criminal record
- Valid Alberta driver's license; class 2S license considered an asset
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Good map reading skills with a strong knowledge of Red Deer and surrounding areas
Remuneration will be dependent on training and experience.
