We are seeking a mechanic with 2 years of experience to expand our team in the Baie-Comeau region.

READY TO COME ON BOARD?

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES:

  • Repairing and maintaining school buses
  • Performing thorough road tests
  • Completing mechanical maintenance reports and work orders
  • Handling paint and finish repairs
  • Following the Preventive Maintenance Program (PEP)
  • Preparing required parts lists and keeping inventory up to date
  • Managing warranty follow-ups
  • Issuing part release slips on work orders
  • Organizing the workshop (equipment and storage)
  • Searching for technical documentation
  • Ensuring cleanliness of work and wash areas
  • Installing equipment (radio, camera, GPS) on new vehicles
  • Accurately diagnosing mechanical issues
  • Any other related tasks contributing to the proper functioning of the shop

Type of employment:

  • Full-time, Permanent

Pay:

  • Starting at $./hour depending on experience

Scheduled hours:

  • per week

Day shift | Tool and boot allowance | Uniform provided | Continuous training offered

Requirements

  • Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, or Construction Equipment Mechanics (DEP), or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience
  • Possession of a PEP certification (an asset)
  • Knowledge of diesel mechanics
  • Familiarity with Cummins and Allison software (an asset)
  • Valid Canadian work permit (required)
