Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid minimum of 3 days per week
Duration: 12+ Months
Client: Banking domain client
Pay Range: C$65 to C$75

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves the design, development, and support of Equity Derivative infrastructure, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of Python application development.
• Experience with Java, real-time messaging, and SQL is preferred.
• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to address performance issues.
• A flexible "can do" attitude; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent release cycles and rapidly changing priorities.
• The ability to effectively communicate within a multi-disciplined team, across multiple locations and time zones, and to interact with various technology partners.
• An understanding of the Equity derivative business application development

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• An understanding of the Quartz application development.
• Working experience with complex systems (grid, object-oriented database, Oracle, etc.).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Equity Derivative infrastructure.
• Own and drive discussions/work streams, working with business and technology stakeholders to identify solutions.
• Facilitate design review sessions with technology teams within Equity Linked Technology and other tech partners.
• Execute all facets of delivery to the Equity Linked Technology User community – from discussions with users shaping deliverables through to the production release of functionality.
• Demonstrate new functionality to business and technology users.
• Design test strategy including preparing test cases, as required.
• Work closely with business and technology teams to gather testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate UAT activities, releases, and migration events. Track defects and progress of resolution.
• Escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Produce system and process documentation.
• Ensure adherence to audit and operational standards.
