Job Title: Automation Engineer 4

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a technical support contact for internal teams, supporting debug and root cause analysis of complex automation, software, system, and hardware issues.
• Reproduce and debug failures reported by internal customers, including validation, silicon, platform, firmware, and software teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Python based automation framework to support internal debug, validation, regression, and sustaining activities.
• Improve internal debug efficiency by enhancing logging, diagnostics, telemetry, and failure analysis capabilities within automation solutions.
• Perform system level debugging across OS, drivers, firmware, silicon, and platform interactions.
• Support system bring up, validation, and pre production testing, including recreating internal test environments and workloads.
• Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive issues to closure and ensure fixes are validated and scalable.
• Analyze logs, test results, and performance data to identify trends, isolate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Define, document, and standardize internal debug workflows, automation designs, and support procedures.
• Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned to improve overall team capability and internal customer experience.

Preferred Experience

• Strong hands on experience with Python for automation, validation, and debug tooling.
• Proven experience debugging system level issues involving software, OS, drivers, firmware, and hardware.
• Experience in internal customer support, sustaining engineering, validation, or bring up roles.
• Knowledge on CPU/GPU architectures, system platforms, memory, and interconnects is a plus.
• Experience with post silicon validation, system bring up, or performance/power analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to internal technical and non-technical stakeholders.
