Product Management Specialist

Reports to

Market Manager, Manufactured Plastics

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Planning and organizing marketing efforts to help grow the business
  • Recognizing growing markets and market changes to support business decisions
  • Responsible for the pricing strategies for the Manufactured Plastics products as defined by area assignment (Central & Western regions)
  • Collaborate with sales on customer visits to establish customer relationships and knowledge
  • Review and implement accrual requirements for all rebate programs for Manufactured Plastics
  • Support the forecasting / planning of customer requirements to improve material availability and production schedules by maximizing discussions with Purchasing and Production teams
  • Content Marketing, identify, and create content that informs, engages and resonates with our customers, including social media campaigns that promote brand loyalty
  • Marketing support, purchasing of various promotional materials within budgeting guidelines
  • Provide key Marketing reports by compiling, consolidating, formatting, and summarizing information, graphs, and presentations
  • Develop, track, and comply with relevant KPI’s and monthly and YTD distribution of results.
  • Monitor performance for all employees in the department with regards to their adherence to company policies and procedures. Perform quarterly and annual staff performance evaluations and set achievable goals. Skills will be transferred to staff through continued team training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Degree or diploma in business or administration or equivalent experience in costing and marketing support.
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience in a customer / supplier support environment preferably in a Manufacturing setting.
  • A strong team leader with a high degree of initiative and positive attitude.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office and CRM system
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and telephone skills to maximize external and internal customer relations.
