The Role

Porta is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent, detail oriented and driven Logistics Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes while maintaining high standards for food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The analyst collaborates with internal departments, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities

Outbound Freight :

o   Manage and coordinate all outbound shipments, ensuring products are delivered to customers on time and in full.

o   Optimize transportation routes and freight costs by working closely with carriers.

o   Track and resolve any freight-related issues, such as delays, damages, or losses.

3rd Party Warehouse Management :

o   Oversee relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

o   Conduct regular performance reviews with 3PL partners to identify areas of improvement and negotiate service contracts.

o   Ensure seamless integration between 3PL operations and internal supply chain processes.

Customer Sales Fulfillment :

o   Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate order processing and fulfillment.

o   Manage customer orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient service.

o   Work closely with customers to address order issues and ensure high satisfaction levels.

Customer Service :

o   Serve as the point of contact for customer inquiries related to logistics, order status, and delivery.

o   Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships.

o   Provide regular updates to internal teams on customer feedback and logistics performance.

Freight Cost Analysis :

o   Continuously analyze freight costs, identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., volume discounts, route optimization), and propose strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.

Performance Metrics and Reporting :

o   Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for outbound logistics, customer order fulfillment, and 3PL performance. Provide regular reports to leadership with recommendations for improvement.

Process Improvement :

o   Analyze existing logistics processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies. Lead initiatives to improve processes, streamline operations, and reduce lead times.

o   Provide reports on key performance metrics such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and inventory accuracy.

Regulatory Compliance :

o   Ensure that all logistics operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including transportation and safety standards. Stay updated on changes in regulations that may impact operations.
