Overview
Are you a registered psychologist with expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological aspects of physical conditions? Do you have a thorough understanding of psychological reactions to workplace injury and trauma? We're looking for qualified psychologists to join our dynamic Mental Health Services department and work with teams specialized in trauma, serious injuries, high-risk situations, brain injury, occupational disease, chronic pain, and difficult work relations.
How you'll make a difference : As part of our interdisciplinary case-management teams, you'll focus on helping injured workers in their recovery, rehabilitation, and safe return to work.
Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of some remote work with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work two days a week in our Richmond office.
We offer a flexible Monday-to-Friday work week and a part-time schedule (about 25 hours per week).
What you'll do
- Engage in collaborative, proactive, individual case consultations
- Conduct file reviews and write clinical opinions
- Plan and monitor assessment and treatment services
- Participate in team meetings
- Offer educational presentations to staff to promote an understanding of psychology and the concepts and practices of case management
- Liaise with healthcare providers
- Provide supervision to psychologists engaged in the registration process for the College of Care and Health Professionals of B.C.
