Job Description

The Role of the SSS Characterization Project Coordinator is to assist the Characterization Project Lead with successfully managing a portfolio of characterization, delineation and close-out deliverables to meet (1) CNL expectations regarding safety and compliance programs, (2) regulatory requirements, (3) project goals regarding scope, cost, schedule and quality, and (4) priorities established by the Manager of Characterization and Design and CNL.

Education

University degree from an accredited university of recognized standing in one of the following disciplines : Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geotechnical Science or Environmental Science.
Any other university degree in either Engineering or Science will be considered in combination with previous applicable work experience, knowledge, skills and competencies.

Experience

Engineering and Science : 4+ year’s preparing / reviewing / approving technical deliverables, preferably related to the engineering, geotechnical and environmental disciplines noted above. Fewer years may be considered based on specific experience, seniority and past accountabilities.

Abilities & Skills

Team Building.

Communication - Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written; ability to make presentations.

Stakeholder management, diplomacy and negotiating skills.

Ability to coordinate and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

Ability to read technical documents and analyze content and apply critical thinking skills.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office software and experience with project management software, tools and practices used to plan, execute and control projects.

Good experience and ability to read and interpret engineering construction and / or remediation drawings.

The Project Coordinator must have requisite knowledge in the following subjects at a level required to provide the Project Lead with assistance :

Design Engineering Change Control

Project Controls (Scope, Cost and Schedule)

Safety and due diligence

Legal Requirements; codes and standards

Procurement and financial processes

CNL policies and procedures through CNL training
