Description de poste

Job Overview

Project Responsibilities

  • Project review + document support for CRA filings
  • Review projects at the work-detail/activity level to identify and extract supporting reference documentation needed for CRA tax filings.
  • Build and maintain working papers / working files that tie source documents to filing positions and calculations.
  • Validate completeness/accuracy of supporting evidence; escalate gaps and risks.

Stakeholder engagement and clarification

  • Partner with Project Managers / project teams to clarify scope, work activity classification, and missing details.
  • Document follow-ups, decisions, and assumptions; update working files accordingly.
  • Provide guidance on what documentation is needed and why (in plain language).

Workflow and process improvement / automation

  • Design and implement automated workflows to collect required information more efficiently (standard intake templates, routing, tracking, reminders, status dashboards).
  • Act as a “process/system champion” for the workflow approach: testing, iteration, user guidance/training, and troubleshooting.

Innovative gap-filling and analysis

  • Perform contract review and interpretation to fill data gaps (scope wording, deliverables, pricing structures, activity descriptions).
  • Create analytical schedules (e.g., ratios, allocations, activity splits) to support positions where direct tagging is incomplete ensuring the approach is supportable and repeatable.

Compliance, guidance, and delivery under deadlines

  • Interpret and apply CRA legislation/regulatory requirements relevant to the filing.
  • Follow prescribed internal program guidance and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Manage priorities independently and deliver quality outputs under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Skills needed [consolidated]

Tax / compliance & interpretive skills

  • Ability to interpret CRA legislation and apply it to real-world project activities and documentation
  • Understanding of tax accounting concepts and how they translate into provisions/schedules/filing support
  • Comfort working within defined internal controls / program guidance and producing audit-ready support

Analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Strong ability to review, research, and analyze large volumes of information
  • Build structured analytical schedules (allocations/ratios, reconciliations, exception analysis)
  • Identify inconsistencies, assess impacts, recommend corrective actions, and document conclusions

Document management & records discipline

  • Strong document management capabilities (classification, retention mindset, version control, traceability)
  • Knowledge of information security expectations for sensitive tax/contract/project data
  • Ability to assemble complete, well-referenced files suitable for internal/external review

Workflow design / automation & systems aptitude

  • Ability to develop automated workflows for intake, tracking, and completeness checking
  • Comfort with business systems and computer applications; ability to test, troubleshoot, and improve tools
  • Ability to create standard templates, trackers, and process aids; provide user guidance/training

Communication & stakeholder management

  • Strong written/oral communication: clarify requirements, request evidence, summarize findings
  • Ability to work effectively with PMs and other stakeholders, including pushing for timely responses
  • Ability to prepare clear reports / summaries / presentations of status, gaps, and decisions

Execution under pressure [MP3-level work habits]

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail with consistent quality deliverables
  • Flexibility to adapt as project details, legislation interpretations, or filing needs change

Miscellaneous

  • Standard software package for MP3 (PowerBI, FRA, SharePoint, etc.) and AS9 Access, EBX, Ecosys.
  • CPA (completed or in progress) or equivalent advanced financial training (AFOA, MBA).
