Senior Program Manager to lead the implementation of business and technology focused solutions for a Life and Operations Excellence Program

This is a hybrid role in Edmonton or Calgary

Must haves:

10+ years of progressive experience in project management with demonstrated proficiency across the full project lifecycle, with at least 5 years of program management experience and proficiency.
Proven ability to lead the delivery of complex business and technology solutions (e.g., business applications, infrastructure) from concept through implementation and operational transition.
Experience in successfully managing programs and projects in a remote and hybrid team environment, with cross-functional teams that include business, IT, and vendor resources.
Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, SharePoint, and Power BI is considered an asset.
Hands-on experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies in enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience in vendor management, engagement, oversight, and performance evaluation of third-party service providers.
Solid knowledge of program and project management principles, frameworks, and tools, including planning, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.

Educational Requirements:

A post-secondary degree or diploma in business, information technology, or a related discipline is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Project management certification is required (for example PMP®, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP).
Program management certification (for example, PgMP®) is a strong asset.
Certification or practical experience in Organizational Change Management (e.g., Prosci) is an asset.

Required Leadership Skills:

Proven leadership in building and guiding high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and trust.
Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and managing competing priorities.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including project teams, senior executives and external partners.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal business leaders, external partners, and vendors to support project success and alignment.
