Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

We are looking for a talented individual to join CLEAResult’s Strategic Energy Management (SEM) team as a Program Manager supporting BC‑based utility clients. Based in the Vancouver area, this role is accountable for program delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction across complex energy efficiency programs for commercial and industrial participants.

The Program Manager is responsible for translating contracted scopes of work into a clear and actionable delivery strategy, leading the team to execute against that strategy, and adjusting course as real‑world program, participant, or client dynamics evolve. This role ensures that program delivery consistently meets contractual obligations while also aligning with client and participant expectations.

This position is highly client‑facing and strategic, with full ownership of program financial health and client relationships. The role is primarily remote with periodic in‑person client meetings and limited travel.

You’re a great fit if you can…

  • Lead multiple SEM programs, ensuring strong delivery, savings performance, and client satisfaction.

  • Serve as a primary client contact and own day‑to‑day client relationship management.

  • Translate contracted scope into a clear delivery plan and execution strategy, and adjust that strategy as program conditions change.

  • Ensure program delivery aligns with contractual requirements while proactively managing client and participant expectations.

  • Maintain full financial accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.

  • Partner with finance to explain variances, trends, and revenue outcomes.

  • Prepare and deliver clear client reports, updates, and executive‑level presentations.

  • Collaborate with SEM coaches and internal teams to translate program and participant performance into client‑ready insights.

  • Identify risks, performance gaps, and participant challenges, developing proactive solutions.

  • Analyze program data to support internal decision‑making and client reporting.

  • Anticipate client needs to keep programs proactive rather than reactive.

  • Own all program contracting activities, including scope definition, amendments, and ensuring alignment between contracts and delivery.

  • Participate in periodic in‑person client meetings and limited travel as required.

  • Travel occasionally to other provinces (approximately 2–3 times per year) for meetings, conferences, or training.

Exciting candidates will have…

  • Experience managing energy efficiency or utility‑funded programs.

  • Direct experience working with utility clients and DSM programs.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.

  • Proven client relationship management experience.

  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.

  • High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); Smartsheet experience is an asset.

  • Degree in engineering, management, or a related field.

  • Engineering background, P.Eng., CEM, or similar designation considered an asset.
