Are you an experienced logistics professional with a strong grasp of international shipping regulations and customs compliance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and efficiency are critical? Our client, a dynamic manufacturing firm in Cambridge, ON, is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their internal staff as part of a collaborative, logistics team. In this permanent, full-time role, you will play a critical role in managing global freight movement, ensuring international compliance, and aligning production timelines with customer expectations.

Responsibilities
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Cambridge, ON, with a commitment to the 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule and potential daily overtime.
- Manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring strict adherence to global customs, tariffs, and cross-border documentation.
- Accurately prepare essential shipping documentation, including customs invoices, Bills of Lading (BOL), packing slips, and export labels.
- Maintain constant communication with production and shipping departments to track the release of goods and verify readiness.
- Handle freight quotations, negotiate standard lane rates, and process customer invoicing with high attention to detail.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners via phone, email, regarding transit timelines.


Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in global logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Proven hands-on experience handling international shipping compliance, customs documentation, and global carrier management.
- Completed Supply Chain Diploma, CIFFA certification, or a related educational background is highly preferred.
- Previous experience within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry is considered a strong asset, but not required.
- Ability to read blueprints or a strong willingness to learn the technical specifications of the manufactured products.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities, strong spatial awareness for freight capacity, and clear communication skills.
