Position Title: Auto Parts Store Multi-Site Counterperson

Location: Supporting multiple store locations, including St. Thomas, Aylmer, and the Greater London Area

Type of Employment: Full-time permanent

Number of vacancies: 1

Compensation: $19-24 per hour, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Hours:

  • 40 to 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, alternating Saturdays

  • An individual with a passion for customer service, and knowledge of automotive aftermarket parts, cataloguing systems and/or sales/repair/service experience

Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional customer service and process orders using automotive knowledge, company systems and parts catalogues. The individual will also pick, pack, ship, receive, stock, and organize automotive parts, and effectively deliver automotive parts to customers. Effective use of company resources and tools is integral to this role, as is meeting and setting customer service goals. This position will support store Counter operations across multiple locations, based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned store locations as neededTravel costs to be provided as needed
  • Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge, the Company database, and the parts catalogue
  • Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
  • Conduct follow-up calls to customers as necessary
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts into delivery vehicles
  • Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
  • Maintain overall store appearance by cleaning and organizing on a regular basis
  • Pick, pack, ship, receive, stock, and organize auto parts when necessary
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team

Key Requirements and Experiences

  • Automotive aftermarket parts knowledge/experience (customer service, sales, repair) required
  • Customer service experience required
  • A valid G Driver’s license and clean 3-year abstract required
  • Ability to reliably travel to assigned store locations as required
  • Overnight travel may be required on occasions
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, online database and web-based training)
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measurement
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) safely and consistently
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders and stairs, balance, lift and bend on a regular basis
