Product Engineer

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as a Product Engineer with an industry-leading automotive customer.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled  Product Engineer with expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and extensive experience in the design of casting, forging, and stamping components. The successful candidate will be crucial in designing, developing, and optimizing automotive parts for performance and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various engineering teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

Design automotive components, focusing on casting, forging, and stamping parts.

Utilize GD&T principles to ensure precise and accurate part specifications.

Apply DFM principles to optimize designs for manufacturing processes, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, to ensure seamless integration of designs.

Conduct design reviews and simulations to identify and mitigate potential issues before full-scale production.

Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design and manufacturing processes.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field

3+ years of experience in automotive product design, focusing on casting, forging, and stamping parts.

Strong experience with GD&T and DFM principles applied to automotive part design.

Proven track record of designing components that meet or exceed performance, cost, and manufacturability goals.    Preferred Requirements :

Strong problem-solving abilities with a practical approach to complex design and manufacturing challenges.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
