Covanta Environmental Solutions (CES) offers a turnkey solution to various industries for the management of residual waste materials. CES simplifies the management of hazardous materials, solid or liquid finished products, recyclable materials and controlled substances in a responsible, environmentally friendly and safe manner. A Vehicle Operator performs duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities, third-party facilities and the Client’s sites.  Vehicle Operators will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans and tractors. Our operators are expected to be professional and safety minded individuals who interact with customers and colleagues on a regular basis.  We believe in family and lives outside of work.  As such the need for over-night trips is very rare. Responsibilities include :

• Safety is the number one goal of all CES employees. Drivers must operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT and company policies / regulations.
• Driving commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure placarding of vehicle meets DOT regulations
• Maintain paperwork - expense reports, time sheets, vehicle inspection reports, Manifests and job sheets
• Proper completion of logs (paper and electronic)
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water and performs minor maintenance.
• Non-Vehicle work from time-to-time
