Windsor Hall is a co-educational International Baccalaureate (IB) school situated in Richmond, BC, currently offering grades 6-9. The school is seeking a visionary and experienced Principal to lead our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for education, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, academically rigorous environment that nurtures student development and community engagement.

This is a teaching principal position , meaning the successful candidate will be expected to teach due to the small size of the school. We also welcome applicants with experience as a Head Teacher or Department Head who are eager to transition into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Strategic leadership : Oversee the overall vision, strategy, and operations of the school, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and goals.
• Academic excellence : Maintain high academic standards and oversee the implementation of a challenging and innovative curriculum, including the IB program.
• Student success : Foster a positive, engaging school culture that promotes student achievement, well-being, and character development.
• Staff leadership : Lead, mentor, and inspire faculty and staff, providing opportunities for professional growth and ensuring a collaborative and supportive workplace.
• Community relations : Serve as the school’s primary ambassador, building strong relationships with parents, community members, and external stakeholders to enhance the school’s reputation and partnerships.
• Administrative oversight : Manage day-to-day school operations, including budgets, facilities, and policies, ensuring the school functions effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Education degree; advanced degrees in education or leadership are preferred.

BC teacher certification.

A minimum of 7 years of teaching experience, with substantial experience in educational leadership (e.g., Vice Principal, Head Teacher, or Principal).

Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program is a significant asset.

Experience working in an independent school setting is strongly preferred.

Proven ability in strategic planning, staff management, and organizational leadership.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
