DUTIES
The successful applicant(s) will support research relating to mental health and wellness within the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS). As this research is done in person in collaboration with members of the service, the location of this position is in Ontario . As an RTP, you will be required to collect and analyze data, and assist with the creation of reports, articles, and other knowledge mobilization materials. Data for this study is primarily collected in one-on-one interview settings, and the successful candidate should be comfortable discussing topics related to trauma and mental health with participants. The successful candidate will demonstrate familiarity with the research area, and with DRPS.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful applicant must have an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as psychology, sociology, public health, or similar. This position requires the use of applications in the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc), and NVivo software. The successful candidate will be able to work independently to meet assigned deadlines, and will be expected to use sound judgement and critical thinking to solve minor issues as they arise.
SALARY : $48,842 to $63,431 per annum (Research and Technical Personnel III NAPE Local 7405)
