Established secondary wood products manufacturing operation is looking for a Moulder Operator.

This is a permanent Full Time hourly position running day-shift only. Hours are steady. The plant is fully equipped with well cared for production machinery making specialty softwood products for both local and export markets -mostly cedar.

Job Duties :

Tooling selection and prep, Moulder setup, full operation. Quality control of product output with ongoing monitoring. Organizing of change overs. Production scheduling to meet daily production.

Skills and Experience Required :

To qualify for this position you MUST have at least 2 years of experience running a through-feed Moulder running standard wood component profiles. Experience on a Wienig, Wadkin, SCM, Leadermac or similar, is ideal. Yates, Woods and other planer experience is acceptable. Some face grinding of standardized tooling is required but tooling prep in general is relatively easy.

Optional Skills and Experience :

Some basic machine maintenance skills are ideal to keep the main machining centres in good running condition. If you have other skillsets in maintenance etc. you may be able to occasionally assist in other area of the plant. Alternatively, if you have Planer skills (Stetson Ross), we can alter the position to include both types of production machines.

Compensation :

Pay levels are set according to your experience and skill levels. Hourly wage levels are very competitive and kept up to date with the local market.
