In this role, you will be responsible for leading project teams, acting as the main point of contact between the company and customers for all project-related matters, ensuring alignment, and fostering clear communication. You will oversee the planning, scheduling, and budgeting of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. In collaboration with the Business Leadership team, you will also manage bid and tender preparation, ensuring compliance with company policies. You will coordinate and support a multidisciplinary team, including leadership, engineering, quality assurance, and trades, to ensure project success. A strong focus on safety and compliance is essential, as you will ensure all activities align with legislative, contractual, and company policy requirements. Additionally, you will manage sub-contractors, tools, and equipment, ensuring compliance with local labor and safety standards.
As the successful candidate, you have a post-secondary technical degree or equivalent work experience, with a P.Eng, CET, or PMP certification being a strong asset. You have 2-5 years of project management experience, with at least 1-3 years in a leadership role. A solid understanding of contract law and contract management is essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and AutoCAD. The ability to make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment, along with excellent communication skills and experience working with both customers and frontline teams, is crucial for success in this role.
