We are looking to fill the summer seasonal position of Bike Rentals Technician at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Retail & Rentals Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous bike shop experience, customer service experience, and will be a team player. You Will:

• Ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Make sure each guest who comes into the rental shop is made to feel welcome and appreciated
• Be knowledgeable in all departments and products that the rental shop has to offer (i.e. bikes, helmets, protective gear)
• Fit the guest to the best of your ability with the equipment they desire to ensure their experience is a positive one.
• Use a cash register, taking payment and being self-sufficient using the rental computer program ‘Sports Rental’
• Be knowledgeable in different types of payments and how to appropriately process them (Credit Card, Debit, vouchers, and promotions etc.)
• Keep the Rental Shop tidy, organized and clean including designated staff areas
• Complete equipment inventory as needed
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
• Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

You Have:

• Experience in a guest services environment
• Bike rental shop experience (an asset)
• Bike repair experience (an asset)
• General computer literacy

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive wage: $18.25- $20.00/hour
