  • Review standalone legal entity financial statements and other ad hoc internal and external financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with applicable accounting and reporting requirements

  • Lead the review of consolidated internal financial performance reporting, including analysis of operating results, key business and period-over-period variances to support executive decision-making and external disclosures

  • Coordinate and review the quarterly and annual Statistics Canada reports

  • Review of the annual Registered Pension Plan financial statements

  • Act as one of the primary contacts in Financial Reporting for internal stakeholders, including Investor Relations, Legal, Finance and Treasury and external business partners

  • Monitor emerging accounting, regulatory, and disclosure developments and assess their impact on financial reporting processes and disclosures

  • Collaborate with the team to identify continual improvement opportunities, analyze process flows and streamline reporting processes

  • Supervise and mentor a small team of Analysts and Interns

  • Special projects and ad hoc analysis as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven leader with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships

  • Keen attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement

  • Strong financial analysis, reporting and communication skills

  • Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines with multiple priorities and minimal supervision

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, with ability to optimize Excel models

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or other recognized accounting standards

  • Experience working with SAP, BPC, Workiva, SharePoint, Teams and/or Power BI considered an asset
