Description de posteMinimum High school diploma / General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required. Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic related manufacturing. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. Ability to maintain records of activities as instructed. Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time. Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Proficiency using Microsoft Office software applications. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices is an asset. Effective communication skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our team as a Packaging Technician in Whitby, ON .
This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure the efficient completion of packaging floor activities in order to meet scheduled production deadlines.
- Ensure product quality meets the standards and applicable regulatory agencies including, but not limited to the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI), United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMEA).
- Perform work at various positions on the packaging line including capping, cartoning, packing shippers, and palletizing in accordance with established standards and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements to meet production targets.
- Inspect packaged products for presence and correctness of lot number, expiry date and general packaging appearance and completeness.
- Ensure line cleanliness practices, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and packaging instructions are followed.
- Perform equipment set up and tear down duties. Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Perform alternating or rotating shift work.
