MINE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN CO-OP (HAGERSVILLE PLANT)

CGC Inc. is currently hiring a Mine Electrical Technician Co-op for our Hagersville plant for a 1-year term.

Position Description :

  • Conducting preventative maintenance programs and updating maintenance records.
  • Interpreting readings taken from electrical testing equipment.
  • Working on assigned projects such as building and installing lighting systems, fiber optic cable installation, and equipment rebuilds.
  • Performing housekeeping duties as required and maintaining a clean workstation.

Requirements :

  • Currently enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Technician (Power) program.
  • Possesses fundamental knowledge of AC and DC power systems and controls.
  • Capable of reading and interrupting wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical equipment and heavy mobile equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Well organized and demonstrates the ability to work safely.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
  • Able to work in an underground mine environment.

    • Hourly wage : $34.08

    Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
