  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading, unloading, and staging product in designated yard locations.
  • Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and move product to the correct areas for shipment or storage.
  • Organize and maintain the yard by placing materials in the appropriate locations and keeping aisles clear for safe forklift and pedestrian traffic.
  • Carry out general labor duties for 60–70% of the shift, including lifting and moving materials weighing 50–60 lbs as needed.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.
  • Communicate and coordinate with yard and facility team members to complete daily shipping, receiving, and order picking priorities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to site traffic and equipment rules.

  • Contribute positively to a team-based culture by being coachable, receptive to feedback, and willing to support coworkers like a sports team.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1+ years of outdoor sit-down forklift experience on rough terrain or similar environments.
  • Proven experience operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts for loading and unloading materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to pick orders and move product accurately and efficiently.
  • Previous outdoor work experience in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50–60 lbs consistently when required.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including loading, unloading, and material handling.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory movement, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Comfort working in dusty, noisy, and busy yard environments with multiple forklifts operating.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to accept coaching and feedback and work collaboratively with others.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts, with the ability to work full-time Monday to Friday.

  • Ability to work different shifts, including days and afternoons/nights, as required.
  • Experience operating outdoor forklifts on rough terrain, including brands such as Sellick and Manitou, is beneficial.
  • Valid third-party forklift certification is an asset; expired certifications are acceptable as in-house recertification is available.
  • Willingness to participate in in-house forklift certification and potential training at a main plant for forklift ticket upgrades.
  • Comfort working in all weather conditions, including exposure to extreme cold during winter months.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude that supports a strong culture fit.
