New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an Intermediate Network Analyst to help our client with delivery of projects to upgrade network equipment in communication rooms within the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities :

  • Replace core switches, including migration of settings from legacy to new
  • Replace edge switches, including migration of settings from legacy to new
  • Configure routing, firewall and NAT policies on internet firewalls
  • Coordinate with vendor to replace a legacy Metro circuit with a new CE circuit
  • Support the vendor pre-field, staging, and implementation activities for circuit replacement
  • Coordinate vendor decommissioning of legacy metro circuit
  • Site preparation for installation(s)
  • Provide support with additional hardware components related to the work above
  • Physical labour related to the work above
  • Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as required

Requirements :

  • 4+ years of recent data networking experience
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience with network equipment implementation / planning, site assessments, application of network standards and network issue problem-solving / troubleshooting
  • Experience with replacement / migration of core and edge switches
  • Experience managing firewalls
  • Experience with network implementation and production cutover services
  • Diploma in a program such as communications technology plus appropriate vendor network certification
