Position Overview
The Support, Warehouse & Delivery plays a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and supplies within CMH's operations. This hybrid position combines warehouse logistics and transportation responsibilities , ensuring that inventory is accurately received, stored, and dispatched while safely delivering supplies to CMH lodges across various terrain and weather conditions.
This role requires precision in warehouse operations, strong driving skills, and adherence to safety protocols , particularly when navigating mountainous roads and remote locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the needs of the weekly delivery schedule through warehouse work or deliveries to lodges.Transport goods to CMH locations on a specified schedule, including travel on logging roads.Safely execute driving days in mountainous conditions with varied weather.Load and unload goods from our warehouse or at the lodges.Support the warehouse activities by receiving, sorting, loading goods, and ensuring proper tracking in our inventory system.Perform basic warehouse or vehicle maintenance, inspections, and cleanliness tasks.Pick-up shipments from local vendors or drive vehicles to local service partners.Follow all policies related to OH&S and the CMH Vehicle Policy.Help support implementation of CMH health and safety initiatives.Help support implementation of CMH sustainability initiatives.Train, participate in and provide support, as required, during emergency response situations.Support guests and employees in the field program during area visits, as needed.Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Class 5 Driver's License, with automobile insurance history for a minimum of 3 years in Canada.Clean driving record for a minimum of 5 years.Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery role is preferred.First aid certificate, preferred.Food Handling certificate, preferredCompetencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities
Strong driving skills with the ability to navigate various weather and road conditions.Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and equipment usage.Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving.Has demonstrated attention-to-detail, ensuring inventory management and order fulfillment accuracy.Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication.Positive and collaborative working style with an ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional working relationships with peers.Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as an ability to learn other relevant software platforms.Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities.Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote.Trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role.Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues.Strong sense of work ethic and accountability, with an ability to function well in a team environment and focus on team success.Effectively prioritize tasks, responsibilities, and goals; use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans.Working Conditions
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. regularly, and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work.Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a daily basis.This position requires flexibility with days and hours of work, based on business needs.This position may require staying at a CMH lodge or a town nearby for consecutive days due to weather or road closures along the delivery route.CMH is committed to developing a rich culture, a diverse workforce, and a healthy work environment in which every employee is treated fairly and respected.
