Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of CBRE Capital, the Director, Capital Markets and CMHC Program Manager , will be responsible for developing and managing investor relationships and overseeing the compliance for their CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) program. In this role you will oversee the investor relationships and the NHA MBS pooling process and other securitization programs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CMHC guidelines and will also play a role in supporting the commercial and multifamily debt placements by also developing non-insured / commercial lender and investor relationships. This role involves liaising with internal teams, external investors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate investment opportunities and maintain investor confidence. You will also assist the team in negotiating and structuring transactions to meet client needs, while maintaining the integrity and compliance of the CMHC business.

What You’ll Do :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors and stakeholders.
  • Evaluated the economic viability of launching a securitization program and oversee the NHA MBS pooling process and other securitization programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and investor partners and regulatory bodies.
  • Communicate effectively with investors regarding project updates, financial performance, and market conditions.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to investors.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities.
  • Support the negotiation of agreements and contracts and resolution of any issues or conflicts that arise during transaction execution.
  • Manage funding pipeline and ensure funding capacity for current and future pipelines.
  • Oversee and manage the administration of outstanding securitization pools.
  • Ensure all securitization activities comply with CMHC regulations and policies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the commercial / multifamily financing sector.

What You’ll Need :

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in investor relations, securitization, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of CMHC guidelines, the multifamily housing market, and securitization processes.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
