Responsibilities

provide full scope of practice internist services
participate in call shifts
provide support to your own site but also to others in the Western Zone if required which includes day-time coverage and occasional overnight / weekend coverage
be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice
operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health Authority
participate in teaching both family medicine and internal medicine residents and fellows

Expected Hours

full-time

on-call requirement for Internal Medicine (1 : 7)

weekly coverage for ICU and Internal Medicine hospitalist during which time physician will provide outpatient care appropriate to their subspecialty

Qualifications :

all applicants must be eligible for licensure with theCollege of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)

membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
