Medical Claims Assistant Remote

We are looking for two qualified individuals for our client in the insurance industry to work remotely as Medical Claims Assistants. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the disability and insurance department particularly with shortterm disability (STD) claims. In this position you will be responsible for highvolume data entry on noncomplex STD claims ensuring accuracy timeliness and building strong service relationships with stakeholders.

What is in it for you :

Hourly salary of $25 to $27 based on experience.

12month contract.

Fully remote fulltime position (37.5 hours per week).

Flexible work hours : 7 am to 3 pm 8 am to 4 pm 9 am to 5 pm or 10 am to 6 pm.

Responsibilities :

Review and assess incoming STD claim applications against established criteria

Identify and follow up on outstanding information to ensure accurate claim assessment

Apply contractual provisions and set up STD claims using webbased software

Build and maintain strong relationships with plan members sponsors healthcare providers and internal partners

Prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines constantly reprioritizing based on business needs

Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail particularly with data entry grammar and numbers

Maintain productive collaboration with internal teams to meet client service deliverables

What you will need to succeed :

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience in customer service or data entry roles

Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders

Great attention to detail and comfortable with repetitive tasks

Bilingual fluency in English and French (spoken and written) to support clients in both languages.
