Job Description

AECOM Buildings + Places, the company's architectural business unit, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based out of the Halifax, Nova Scotia-area. This individual will work on Marine buildings, facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers.

Major Responsibilities :

• Provides specialized technical input to Mechanical studies and design of Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers.
• As a senior technical resource, the job incumbent may serve as technical advisor for the team.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality, cost-effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
