Job Opportunity : Senior Communications Advisor (6-Month Contract)
Insight Global is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Communications Advisor to join one of our Health clients on a full-time, 6-month contract. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Transformation, this role will be pivotal in developing and executing integrated communications and marketing plans to elevate the provincial brand.
The Senior Communications Advisor will collaborate closely with leadership to provide expert guidance on internal and external communications strategies. This position plays a crucial role in driving initiatives related to branding, public awareness, and communication strategies while ensuring all efforts align with the company’s commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression by adopting an equity-informed approach to communications and marketing plans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications and marketing strategies that enhance the provincial brand.
- Provide strategic communications advice to leadership on branding, public awareness, and communications to achieve organizational goals.
- Integrate an equity-informed lens into all communication and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with anti-racism and anti-oppression efforts.
- Create and execute clear, engaging communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences across various platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of key messages.
- Develop youth-focused communications products and tools, ensuring relevance and engagement.
- Foster a healthy workplace culture that promotes diversity, inclusivity, and collaboration within the team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Occasionally travel provincially and nationally as required.
- Post-secondary degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in corporate communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven expertise in social media strategy, tailoring messages for diverse audiences across various platforms.
- Experience working in complex organizations, especially within the public sector or non-profit sectors, is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of mental health and youth services is a strong asset.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, bringing fresh ideas to communications strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
