What will you do in this job?
Dispatcher plays a pivotal role working with operations leadership to support the efficient use and revenue maximization of our tour boat fleet and resourcesWith direction from leadership, adjusting inventory availability for advanced online purchase, daily sales and group travelCreate the daily boat cruising schedule in advance, based on operational demand, staffing levels, and boat maintenance requirementsOperate as a central radio communications and distribution point for all daily operations and emergency situationsHandling group and walk-up guest sales and check-inCommunication and tour orchestration with onsite dock agent, ticket agents and tour group guides / directorsMaintaining boat tracking reports and communicating any issues to Maligne operations managementMaintaining visitor tracking reports and daily tour pax countsOther duties as assignedWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?
A self-starter who takes initiativeCash-handling experiencePrevious dispatch or logistic management is an assetPrevious experience with tour group directors is an assetFluent and articulate in English, able to communicate and comprehend over two-way radio, requiredAdministrative skills including Microsoft Office applicationsExperience using RTP POS Software, an assetProven strength in problem solving, critical thinking, attention to detail and ability to make decisionsMust be able to react quickly and efficiently, with flexibilityMature and professional with the ability to create a sense of calm under stressful situationsComfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
