Description de posteLead and develop department managers through clear expectations and regular feedback. Provide hands-on coaching to supervisors on process improvements to meet production goals. Build team capabilities through training and professional development opportunities. Implement targeted continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles. Work closely with supply chain, engineering and quality teams to uphold production standards. Track key production metrics to ensure targets are consistently achieved. Communicate facility performance and needs effectively to corporate leadership. Minimum of 7-10 years in a manufacturing environment in a similar role. Experience with Lean Methodology and implementing continuous improvement initiatives is a strong asset. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred). Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control practices. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and safety. Adaptable and proactive in addressing challenges. Motivated to coach leaders in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and time management skills.

At Steelcon, the Plant Manager will lead and oversee all operations and activities in a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, safety compliance, and optimal resource utilization. The Plant Manager will be responsible for the P&L of the facility and will be tasked to create and execute plant in line with the company’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Operations
- Direct daily plant operations including production scheduling, logistics coordination, and maintenance planning.
- Manages all fabrication, welding, and coating operations within the facility.
- Develop practical strategies to improve manufacturing processes and reduce operational costs.
- Responsible for meeting fabrication throughput, weld quality standards, and cost efficiency targets.
- Support implementation of company policies and ensures AISC, CWB, and OSHA compliance.
- Manage plant budget effectively and monitor expenditures against targets.
- Collaborates with corporate and site teams to identify, analyze, and resolve root cause issues, implementing sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence and improve operational efficiency.
