Our client located Hwy 27 / Finch is looking for a Warehouse Associate / Machine Shop Assistant to join their team. This is a temporary position with permanent potential.
Starting pay rate for this role : $18-20 / hr.
Day shift - Mo-Fr - 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm
There will be two components to this role : Machine Shop Assistant will be the primary role when demand is high, and Order Picker will be the role when machine shop demand is low.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with cutting, chamfering, stamping, cleaning, and packaging of threaded rod studs in machine shop
- Operate machinery used in the production process
- Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment
- Ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations
- Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary
- Report quantity and quality variances
- Use barcode scanning equipment to maintain computerized stock inventory
- Wrap and secure loads prior to shipment
- Restock inventory rooms with required product as required
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed

1-3 years exp in a warehouse environment.
Excellent communication skills a MUST.
Computer skills a MUST.
Reliable - looking to learn and grow.
Familiarity with cycle counting / RF scanners.
Order Entry.
Steel toe safety shoes a MUST.
Lift up to 50lbs
