In the past several years, it has become abundantly clear that there is a significant mental health crisis in Canada. Our community members need assistance and support in addressing the many facets of their lives that are competing against their mental well-being. At Annapolis Valley Psychological Services Inc. (AVPS Inc.), we strive each day to provide a positive, caring and supportive therapeutic experience for our clients.

With this at the forefront of our minds, AVPS Inc. is looking for additional Psychologists (Master’s, Ph.D., or Psy.D. level from an accredited institution) to join our thriving practice. We are seeking Registered Psychologists to provide not only evidence-based psychotherapy and assessments to children, adolescents, First Responders, Military, and Veterans. We encourage Psychologists searching for part-time and / or full-time employment to apply. We seek professionals willing to be flexible with their schedules, which may include working days, evenings, and / or weekends (if preferred).

Applicants must possess training in CBT, DBT, and EMDR. Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, would be an asset. AVPS Inc. is also looking for Psychologists with training and experience in conducting various assessments including, but not limited to, Autism (children / adolescents), Memory (for all ages), VAC Questionnaires, and Diagnostic Assessments with First Responders. All applicants must be able to demonstrate effective case management planning and skills, as well as engage in case consultations as needed.

AVPS Inc. is conveniently located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, and within the business sector of downtown Kentville. We provide a professional, ethical, supportive and friendly work environment with opportunities to grow as a team. A full-time Practice Manager is available for all team members to manage all administrative tasks including the completion of all intakes and referrals. The Practice Manager is also able to coordinate the logistics of professional educational opportunities (required by NSBEP Continuing Competence Program, at the cost of each Psychologist) and networking events.
