Description de posteUse your knowledge of ASIC design to architect and define next‑generation memory safe CPU architectures Create highly advanced architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and / or system simulations. Collaborate with other experienced architects and RTL designers to seed, assess and iterate these ideas. Undertake end‑to‑end CPU design—from high‑level conceptual modelling to RTL development and performance verification. Innovate novel architectural features (e.g. memory safety, speculative execution, out‑of‑order pipelines, branch prediction, custom ISA extensions) Model and evaluate all aspects of the highly complex process flow, from high‑level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power use, and verification Evaluate trade‑offs between architectural complexity and power / performance benefits Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams (e.g. software, SOC, verification, R&D, security, etc.) to optimize your designs Contribute to roadmap planning, design reviews, and silicon bring‑up Write detailed technical documentation; reviews technical documentation for peers and other engineers. This is a Hybrid role, with a mixture of working from SECQAI’s office in London or Bristol, and at home We know how important it is to build in a customer‑centric way, so you may be asked to travel to meet SECQAI’s customers and partners in person Maintaining the highest standards of integrity : you’ll protect SECQAI’s operations and that of our clients by maintaining confidentiality at all times You have a B.Eng. / B.Sc., M.Eng. / M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience) You have 5+ years of relevant CPU design experience You have a proven track record in architecting or contributing significantly to high‑performance CPU design You have an up‑to‑date knowledge of industry‑standard design tools from leading providers (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, OpenRoad) You’re inquisitive and a self‑starter. You love learning, solving problems outside of your comfort zone, starting new things and taking them through to production, all the while learning from your mistakes You enjoy collaborating with and supporting a wide range of peers and mentors You set a high bar for your own work (both how it works, and how it looks) You have experience working with RISC‑V & CHERI ISAs You have taken a design from conceptualisation through to tape‑out You’re interested in building secure systems and platforms, and have knowledge of relevant security standards Competitive Salary Generous employee option programme Opportunity to work collaboratively with leaders in the field Opportunity to help shape and build the technical side of the organisation Benefits package : we’re committed to evolving the benefits package as we grow.
